Canada dollar knocked around after Fed; bonds rise 
The Canadian dollar bounced back and forth against the greenback on Tuesday as the U.S. Federal Reserve left interest rates unchanged and gave a statement that appeared to leave the door open for more rate hikes if needed.

Bonds slip as market eyes auctions 
The declines came after the Federal Reserve paused a 25-month rate tightening cycle Tuesday, citing moderating growth as the reason to keep its target funds rate at 5.25 percent.

Bonds on Fed watch 
Treasury prices dipped Tuesday morning after a report showed labor costs surged in the second quarter, rattling investors waiting to see what the Federal Reserve will do when it meets in the afternoon.
